Midmed Pty Ltd is an Australian owned supplier of medical, surgical, dental and hospital consumables and equipment. Considering Midmed’s purpose and context, the organisation recognises the control and influence that it has over environmental impacts of its activities, products and services, and wishes to manage its environmental responsibilities systematically toward the ultimate outcome of environmental protection and prevention of pollution.
To achieve these aims, Midmed has established and implemented an integrated management system (IMS) incorporating the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. In line with the requirements of the standard, Midmed commits to the following:
- Satisfying compliance obligations and other requirements placed on it by itself, customers, relevant standards (including ISO 14001:2015), and relevant statutory and regulatory authorities
- Maintaining and continually improving the IMS in order to improve environmental performance.
In order to facilitate environmental management and achieve continual improvement, Midmed sets itself environmental objectives at relevant functions, levels, and processes, which it endeavours to achieve. Objectives are recorded in the organisation’s current Strategies and Objectives Register and are reviewed for achievement at IMS management reviews.
This policy has been implemented throughout Midmed and is available to all workers, as well as interested parties.
