Midmed has a range of state-of-the-art surgical and medical lighting. Combining precise engineering with functional design, these medical lights will provide next-level illumination during examination and surgery. We stock medical lighting from Sunnex and Daray. They offer consistent and cost-effective lighting solutions, suitable for a diverse range of situations. Sunnex is based in the United States and has been setting the standard for quality lighting for over 45 years. Daray was established in 1968 in the UK and specialises in designing specifically for medical markets. Both meet the Australian standards requirements.

Engineering Precision and Innovation

Great lighting is consistent, accurate and cost-effective. Our range provides superior quality lighting to help healthcare providers deliver better care to their patients. The ideal light depends on the application. The main types of lighting are examination, minor procedure, minor surgical and major surgical. With various mounting options, we have lights that are ideal for gynaecology, A&E departments, day surgery, GP treatment rooms, consultation and diagnosis, and other clinical practices. Medical lighting must be simple to position and adjust, while providing an optimal light beam. To help make repositioning effortless, mounts feature either spring balanced arms or flexible goosenecks with ergonomic handles. Different lights have longer reach than others, which is something to keep in mind. Several lights are also covered in BioProtect antimicrobial paint to assist infection control. All our medical lighting uses multiple LED's as this provides a high and even light intensity, whilst reducing eye strain. Other features include shadow reduction and variable colour temperatures to see an accurate render of the skin.

Reliability At The Flick Of A Switch

As medical lighting is used in a hospital environment, it follows that medical lighting products need to be reliable. Midmed medical lights are selected based on the durability and reliability of each component. The result is a medical light that stands the test of time and meets Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3200.2.41 IEC 60601-2-41) Our lights are sold with an estimated lifetime of around 50,000 hours, which equates to 25 years of clinical use. All lighting comes with a 2 year warranty and spare parts are readily available. Find out why more hospitals, surgeons and doctors are choosing Midmed to source their medical lighting.
