Powerful Suction Units

A suction unit or machine, also known as an aspirator, is a type of medical device that is primarily used for removing obstructions from a person’s airway, such as mucus, saliva, blood, or secretions.

The Quickdraw® Portable Suction Unit is a handheld suction pump that’s compact, light and efficient. It’s battery-powered so it can be taken to wherever the patient is located and has easy to use buttons.

When ultra-portability is less of a requirement, the Duet Suction Unit is perfect. It’s suitable for hospital crash carts, patient transport, surgi-centre backup, long term care facilities and more. It’s AC powered with a battery backup and provides instant, powerful suction. It also has a control panel that indicates vacuum level, battery condition, connection to power and lets the user know the pump is running.

Finally, the SSCOR VX-2 is a lightweight, powerful and “firefighter” tough, battery-powered suction unit that offers portable and onboard suction. It also has a control panel and a variable regulator that allows the negative pressure to be adjusted quickly.

Aids For Airway Management

Connecting and positioning airway management equipment can often present challenges, especially for patients that are unresponsive.

Designed for routine and emergency airway management, the Ducanto Catheter™ has a larger internal diameter making it significantly less likely to clog and is shaped to fit the oropharyngeal anatomy. The hyper curved catheter is shaped more like a patient’s airway as well making it easy to position the catheter.

Avoid clogged tips during resuscitation with the Hi-D Big Stick Suction Tip, which has an inner diameter twice as large as traditional surgical suction tips and nearly as large as the inner diameter of the suction tubing. It also has a thumb port so the caregiver can regulate the suction at the distal end of the suction tip as well as side-eye holes to prevent soft tissue damage.

For a simple, inexpensive solution to clearing a blocked airway, try the Suction-Easy. It has a unique double-valved design that allows continuous operation with one hand, while the other hand directs the suction tip throughout your patient’s oropharynx. A consistent vacuum force is applied with each squeeze of the bulb and the material drawn into the bulb is expelled into an attached collection bag. This gives healthcare providers full visibility throughout the procedure.
